An extremely good, dynamic infrastructure and excellent quality of life: these are the strengths that regularly push Frankfurt am Main to the top of the rankings of international cities.
Located in the centre of Europe, the city on the Main is extremely well-connected to the national road and railway network. Frankfurt Airport provides an international hub for global communications.
This has greatly boosted Frankfurt’s economic power. The international trade and exhibition city is one of Germany’s densest centres of employment. Decisions are made here relating to currency policy which affect more than 460 million people. Foreign companies have come to appreciate Frankfurt’s cosmopolitanism – with around a quarter of all foreign direct investment in Germany flowing into the Rhine-Main region.
